In a crowded field of potential selectees, three OTHS soccer players were able to secure spots on the Belleville News Democrat's 2008 Class AA All-Area team, which was announced earlier this week.
The O'Fallon Tomahawks girls fastpitch 16 and under team won their second tournament of the summer season, capturing the Collinsville Extreme Classic at the Collinsville Sportplex Sunday evening with an exciting 3-1 victory over the Columbia (MO) Rockers.
The O'Fallon Twp. High School Golden Girls will conduct their summer dance camp on Friday July 25 and Saturday July 26 on the OTHS campus. The annual event will feature two sessions divided by age group. Session 1 will be held from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on both days for participants age 4 through second graders. Session 2, for participants third grade through high school, will begin at 12:30 p.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.
The OTHS Varsity Dance team excelled at the Universal Dance Association Elite Camp held at Illinois State University June 29 through July 2.
The O’Fallon Senior Legion Baseball Post 137 squad won two of four games in the American Legion Tournament of Champions throughout the Independence Day weekend.
With the summer calendar winding down, the final group of camps offered by O'Fallon Twp. High School will be offered during the next two weeks. Incoming freshmen football hopefuls will be the first group of athletes among the final camp participants in 2008.
Two Panthers baseball teammates have signed letters of intent to continue playing at the college.
