O’Fallon Councilwoman Mary Schmidt was cycling with her husband and a friend Thursday night on Witte Road, when someone in a passing truck threw an unopened beer can at Schmidt.

Local letter carriers will be on a mission to stamp out hunger when they ask O’Fallon residents to donate non-perishable food items during their annual food drive Saturday.
From 1851 until 1960 coal mines provided an industrious livelihood for families in O'Fallon and Shiloh. Today, the underground void left by these mines creates infrastructure problems for current and future above ground developments.
